If you think that good manners are a thing of the past, think again or hop onto the Sunrise Community Fun Ride and you will be proven wrong! A Korean mother who was struggling with her baby pram with a young child in tow, was pleasantly surprised when the Sunrise ‘co-pilot’ helped lift her pram onto the bus and even extended his hand to gentlemanly guide her six year old daughter up the bus steps.
Sporting a very friendly smile, ‘co-pilot’ Johari Ali said that he enjoys his job because it is gratifying helping passengers and to top it off, he is always rewarded with smiles which makes his day. The bus currently runs eight trips, carrying more than 70 passengers a day.
Once, an elderly woman accidentally left her shopping bags behind when she got off the bus. Luckily, the ever alert, quick-thinking Johari saw the forgotten bags and chased after her to deliver the grocery items. “I take the bus every morning from Plaza Mont’Kiara back to my condo. This bus is very convenient because I get the satisfaction of having my breakfast in Plaza Mont’Kiara and be driven back,” she said.
If you just love being chauffeured around or have to rely on public transport to get around Mont’Kiara, take the Sunrise Community Fun Ride! Hop onto this free service and help do your share in saving the environment by not contributing to traffic congestion and pollution.
