While thousands partied away on New Year’s Eve at Solaris Mont’Kiara, the Sunrise Community Fun Ride team was hard at work ferrying Sunrise Mont’Kiara residents to the Countdown venue from 8.00pm. With a full load on each of the five extra trips until 1.30am, over 80 residents found the shuttle service very convenient as they did not have to worry about parking or ‘drink and drive’ restrictions.

Since its launch last September, the Sunrise Community Fun Ride has now become an integral part of Life@SunriseMont’Kiara. The bright yellow 22-seater is easily recognisable from afar and averages over 70 passengers a day. And it hasn’t stopped there.

On January 4, a new bus schedule was introduced to better serve the needs of regular users. Running eight trips a day, the bus’ revised timing allows sufficient time for residents to shop, run errands, meet friends for coffee and also fit in better with their doctor’s appointment or classes. The extended hour to 9.00pm has also been well received as families can now have dinner at Plaza Mont’Kiara or Solaris Mont’Kiara before taking the shuttle home.
