Ms. Lee Su Jung received a pleasant surprise today when she boarded the Sunrise Community Fun Ride for the first time: she became the 500th passenger since the bus service was launched a month ago.

Ms. Lee Su Jung received a pleasant surprise today when she boarded the Sunrise Community Fun Ride for the first time: she became the 500th passenger since the bus service was launched a month ago.
Ms. Lee, from South Korea, arrived in Malaysia three months ago and had just moved into Mont’Kiara Meridin. Oozing enthusiasm, she says that she loves living in Mont’Kiara because of its good and clean living spaces.
It was a blessing in disguise when the South Korean missed the Sunrise bus this morning and decided to walk to Solaris Mont’Kiara to do her shopping. As luck had it, the bus was making its routine stop there a couple of hours later when her shopping was done. She hopped on. The rest, as they say, is history.
To mark this momentous milestone, Ms. Lee was presented with a token gift by Ms. Anne Tong, Senior Manager, Branding and Community Development, of Sunrise Berhad. Ms. Lee says that she and her family will be using the bus more often.
The Sunrise Community Fun Ride is an initiative by Sunrise Berhad to give the residents of Sunrise Mont’Kiara a more convenient way to get around the neighbourhood. This community bus service started running on 16 September 2009 and is popular with the expatriate community there. The bus currently ferries about 20 to 40 passengers daily. The service operates every Monday to Saturday, from 10.00am till 8.00pm.
