Once a year, Children by the busloads converged at Plaza Mont'Kiara Fountain Courtyard for an enchanted evening of fun and games.

This year was no different with over three hundred underprivileged children from ten welfare homes experiencing the joy of decorating a Christmas tree at Sunrise’s Deck The Trees charity event.
There were also ten little Santa lookalikes vying for the Best Dressed Santa prize.

The many creative ways to use tinsel, ornaments, cotton, coloured crepe paper and balloons were simply amazing.

Points were given to the most beautiful tree and best-dressed Santa to determine the winning Home.

The Homes also get to take the tree home for keeps.

Pusat Jagaan Rumah Juara 'singing Santa' and dazzling bedecked tree bagged the first prize, valued at RM2,000, consisting of movie passes and popcorn sets from Cathay Cineplexes, Tupperware Brands and GlaxoSmithKline products.

At the end of the day, all the kids enjoyed themselves and not a single child went home empty handed as all received a gift pack containing a coin box, photo frame, sand art kits, colouring kit, tupperware, drink and sweet treats.

Twenty volunteer staff from Sunrise were at the children's beck and call helping to organise food, drinks for their 'adopted' homes and helping with the face painting activities.

Performances included Christmas carols by the 1st Puchong Boys’ Brigade Coy, followed by Wendy’s Dance students’ hip-hop and ballet repertoire.
Snowball the Clown enthralled the children with his amazing tricks and tickling antics.

Sunrise Bhd first organised Deck the Trees in 2006, and will continue this annual tradition of helping those in need as a caring community developer and with an on-going commitment to social responsibility.
