I spent the afternoon of 19 June visiting the Sunrise Fun Zone for the first time as some friends were taking their kids there for a birthday party. The place was filled with the sounds of K'Naan’s Waving Flag and Shakira’s Waka Waka when I arrived.

With the World Cup in full swing and also Father’s Day that weekend, it made sense to have a football-themed party.

The My Super Striker Dad celebration was all about footie fun and laughter for the kids and their dads with activities like balloon juggling, finger football, football striker and football monkey. Even a few mums got into the action.

Another highlight was the Dad & I Look-A-Like contest and a football trivia quiz, where kids were tested on their knowledge of the World Cup.

Prizes for winners of the games include a delightful replica of the World Cup trophy. No one went home empty-handed though as all participants received goodies.

And what's a birthday party without a birthday cake. The kids got one shaped in a football field complete with players and goal posts.

All in all, it was a blast. It's great that Sunrise Mont'Kiara residents have the Sunrise Fun Zone that takes care of their social and lifestyle needs.
